Number 12 in the body of work entitled "The Sky Will Last Longer Than I."  The series utilizes signifiers of religious art to examine ideas of the Absurd, lack and salvation.  Elements create an environment that evokes landscape that is both diagrammatic and illusionistic, space can be considered both in persepective as well as parallel with the picture plane.

    This is an original artwork, and as such, a unique, one-of-a-kind piece.  Made from metal leaf applied over pigment and graphite on canvas. The gallery-wrapped canvas with natural duck canvas edges is 18 inches high by 13 inches wide and is one and a quarter inches deep.  It hangs on two D-rings, so once it is hung, it will always remain straight. It is titled, signed and dated on the back.

    It is important to remember that original artwork is a handmade object and as such has a great deal of texture, marks and other evidence of being made by hand.  In some ways these features could be perceived as imperfections, but they are part of what lends artwork value.  Colors should be considered approximate on the website as monitor's resolution and color reproduction varies greatly.
